Never make the mistake of playing Texas hold em without a sound hold em betting strategy!

Because of the game’s popularity on television and the great number of books written about it, almost everyone wants to be a professional poker player. Though each player has access to the same reading material, the application of the hold em betting strategy that they learn is not proper. This is especially true when you look to compare cash games and tournament poker.
Also keep in mind that it almost never hurts to learn from a good online poker tool or read some valuable online poker books!

By understanding the difference between the two types of games and applying a proper strategy, you can take some of the actual gambling out of the game and get your money in the pot with strategic moves that allow you to make the most of the odds. Do you think you can get the best of cards always? After you get in, the odds you get will control and justify your call.

The no limit hold em betting strategy used in tournament poker differs from that used in a cash game. The one major difference is that once you are felted, you are out of the game and cannot buy back in. This will change the way that you look at going all in on a draw. An unspoken rule of tournament poker is never to go all out in a draw until your odds are good. You have the choice of buying back in a cash game if you miss. There is no such way out in a tournament. As long as you are very cautious about making a call for all of your chips on a draw, you can play as you would in a cash game.

A cash or ring game no limit hold em betting strategy lets you play an offensive game and gives you more latitude on draws. You can adjust your strategy once you are able to identify the manner in which other players play the game. This will give you an edge on the others and maximize your gains.

For instance, assume you are playing against a very passive player who does nothing more than call everyone down on every hand, if he has hit the flop in any fashion. When you play against this hold em betting strategy, forget all the fancy moves, just play basic ABC poker and you will clean up. Why do you want to put yourself out when it is not possible to bluff him? You will have no choice other than paying him off if you are gambling with nothing.

Exactly the reverse holds true for playing against a loose/aggressive player. This kind of player tries to throw the chips rashly in order to win every pot. You can take advantage of his aggressiveness to trap him. You know he is going to bet and you can use the check-raise no limit hold em betting strategy to take his stack.

There is no one single no limit hold em betting strategy that can make you a winner, when you are playing. You have to alter and adjust it according to the players you are dealing with. Your rivals will not know what you are up to and you will end up winning most of the time.
